Who are we and Why choose either of us as a mentor?  

Mary Lou Schneider...
is a Spiritual Director who has been companioning women on their spiritual journeys for 20 years through retreats, classes, groups and one-on-one work.  Calling herself a Midwife to the Feminine Soul, Mary Lou is an anam cara or soul friend.  Her gift for deep listening helps her clients discover the silent thoughts, fears, questions and longings hidden beneath the words they bring to her.  Mary Lou creates a safe space within which clients can learn to trust their intuition and find their own answers.  In addition to her training in spiritual direction, Mary Lou’s work draws upon her studies in Reiki, Kundalini energy, Sacred Texts, Meditation, Celtic Spirituality and Contemplative Dance.   Her passion for women’s spirituality flows out of her own commitment to her inner life.

Kimberly Schneider…

began her career as a lawyer but positive personal experiences in 12 step programs and psychotherapy led her to return to school to study human development and potential.  During graduate school she worked with her instructors to create an individualized program that allowed her to facilitate women’s spirituality groups and explore how religious teachings and images of Divinity affect gender identity and psychological health.  She also created a method of utilizing Tarot as a counseling tool.  In 1999 she earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling with an Emphasis in Women’s Spirituality.  She is now a Transformational Counselor in private practice. 

The majority of Kimberly’s clients are helping professionals who want to cultivate mindfulness, deepen intuition and manage their energetic boundaries. Other specialties include empowering women to create enlightened work and relationships and supporting parents with special needs kids. In addition to counseling, Kimberly’s work draws upon ancient and modern philosophies of healing, including: Synergia; Celtic Spirituality; Eastern/Western Religions; Jungian Psychology and Tarot. In addition to counseling Kimberly works with individual students and groups exploring Abundance & Manifestation, Magic & Miracles and other topics flowing out of her studies of the relationship between science, spirituality and the nature of reality.  Kimberly is a published poet and also regularly posts articles in the Healthy Planet, a St. Louis periodical focused on wellness and Eco-Conscious Living.
