The Universe Is Your Playground
I keep falling in love with life. Isn't it amazing?
Aren't we privileged to be spinning around on this
beautiful blue planet, wearing these versatile,
complex bodies? I am amazed by the breathtaking
beauty available to us. Earlier this month I went
on a hiking trip with my husband in the Missouri
Ozarks. I've been to some incredible places on this
earth: the mountains in Austria, the rain forest on
Kaui, Trunk Beach on St. John, the highlands in
Brazil, the Blue Lagoon in Capri, Italy....But I
don't know if I love anything more than walking
through a wildflower carpeted forest on the ancient
Ozark mountains: discovering a spring; catching a
glimpse of a red squirrel tail or a wild turkey;
breathing in the expansive vista from a ridge top.
Since I've returned home to the St. Louis area the
hills and trees around my home, which of course have
always been here, seem even more precious and lovely
to me. I see in them the echoes of the beauty I
encountered on our trip. Sometimes it takes getting
outside of our daily routine to come back with new
eyes and see the abundance that has been there all
along! My trip inspired this month's focus on the
abundant universe ( see
my article "The Universe Is Your Playground" below).

How You Can Know the Abundant Universe
In this month's article I write about
"getting" that the Universe is abundant. Many people
struggle with this--they may understand the idea
intellectually but they aren't sure how to break through
their old deeply rooted beliefs of scarcity and limitation.
Deepak Chopra, an expert in Transcendental
Meditation, has taught for years that meditation is the way
to personally know and experience what he calls "the Unified
Field" or "the Field of All Possibilities." When you go to
this place in your mind on a regular basis, you no longer
have to believe in it. It becomes part of who you are.
BUT...."meditation is so hard! Who has time! I can't still
my mind!" you say. That's exactly why Dr. Chopra, Dr.
Andrew Weil and other experts are recommending these
interactive training programs from the Wild Divine Project.
You get biofeedback to teach your system what
it feels like to be in harmony/resonance, so that you learn
to move closer and closer to that abundant "unified field"
experience. And you can move there quickly, putting in just
a few minutes a day (but you might be having so much fun
that you want to do more!)

Friends with Death:
A TeleSeminar with Kimberly Schneider
Wednesday, October 24 at 12:30pm Central Time
Death is the ultimate change--and therefore the ultimate
fear for most people. Unfortunately, avoiding a
conscious relationship with Death cuts you off from the
fullness of your life. It also unnecessarily adds to
your suffering when you have to face the death of loved
ones. As the sacred festival of Samhain (Halloween/All
Souls/Day of the Dead) approaches, it is a perfect time
to consider how to re-think your relationship with
Death. Join spiritual director Mary Lou Schneider for a
discussion with Kimberly Schneider, LPC about how
working consciously with Death as a presence in your
life can liberate you from fear and release your
creative power. Learn rituals and exercises you can use
in your daily life and especially during the season of
Samhain to deepen your connection with loved ones who
have crossed over.
The TeleSeminar is
part of the TeleSeminar Series available to members of
our Spiritual Mentorship program "FREE OF CHARGE!".

The Universe Is Your Playground

 This
month my husband and I went hiking in southern Missouri and
we had the great fortune of encountering three magnificent
springs.
The ancients believed that springs were “thin places” where
one might touch something of the Otherworld—thus the old
traditions of throwing coins or other offerings into a body
of water.
Standing at the mouth of Big Spring, witnessing the water
emerging from deep within the earth and rushing to feed the
Current River, I understood the reverence for these special
places. The source of the water—and the force driving it
to the surface—were hidden from view. The water seemed to
erupt from underground by magic! Indeed, it seemed as if we
were standing at the intersection of the seen and the
unseen.
The words of my favorite Rumi poem kept running through my
mind:
Everything you see
has its roots in the unseen world.
The forms may change,
yet the essence remains the same.
Every wondrous sight will vanish,
every sweet word shall fade.
But do not be disheartened.
The Source they come from is eternal,
growing, branching out,
bringing new life and new joy.
Why do you weep?
that source is within you
and this whole world
is springing up from it.
The source is full.
Its waters are ever flowing.
Do not grieve;
drink your fill.
Don’t think it will ever run out.
This is the endless ocean.
 I
was already feeling expansive after our time at the
spring--then later that evening we ate dinner on the deck of
the aptly named “Expanded Horizons” restaurant! When we
walked out on the deck we sat without speaking for several
minutes as we
each drank in the ridge top view. We were looking south
over the tree-carpeted St. Francois and Ozark Mountains as a
tangerine sun sank into cloud-kissed blue sky that slowly
bled pink, violet and indigo like water seeping into
the bottom half of a rainbow and spreading the colors across
the world.

What if miracles aren't
something that "just happen?"
What if you could create a more
miraculous life for yourself,
just by changing the way you see
the world?
While we never know the form that
a miracle will take, we make the
miraculous possible by being willing
to risk falling, looking silly,
failing, stumbling and being wrong.
That takes some fortitude. Each of
us has been fortunate in having
mentors who helped us develop a more
"miracle prone" mentality, if you
will, a particular way of
interacting with life. Now we are
privileged to do the same for
others.
If you'd like to live a more
miraculous life, consider our
Spiritual Mentorship Program.
We'd love to be part of your
personal miracle-making
journey.
Now you can receive CD
or MP3 recordings and
transcripts of the classes as
part of your spiritual
mentorship program!
